I THINK WE RE GONNA MAKE IT
Review of Buck Rogers - Feeder by  Chris_Padden

Advantages: See op
Disadvantages: See op

...that is great about it. It is a legendary song with such a line as that it can be used anywhere. The song is not frightening at all, it is a rock song but not offensive or that strong. Just good music to listen to and good to get into the sound of Feeder. This was the first song from Feeder that I ever heard, since then I have looked back into all the other stuff they have done and seen them live. As for the single Buck Rogers it brought Feeder the success they deserve. A real anthem of today, great chorus and it just makes you feel great. The rest of the album is great as is all their stuff, but this is going to be a hard one to beat. He's got a brand new car Looks like a Jaguar It's got leather seats It's got a CD player But I don't want to talk about it anymore I think we're gonna make it I think we're gonna save it yet So... Fuzzbox's Greatest
Review of Look At The Hits On That (The Best Of We've Got A Fuzzbox & We're Gonna Use It/+DVD) - Fuzzbox by  ilaskey

Advantages: Some classic hits across two distinct styles, DVD included
Disadvantages: non fans will probably be alienated by one half of the music here

...Once upon a time there was a rather gnarly girl group called We've Got a Fuzzbox and We're Gonna Use It!! (the two exclaimation marks are important!). They had a cult following, were popular in clubs of a certain grungy sort and played rough but catchy guitar indie type stuff but with a hint of cheek humour and wearing some fairly crazy crazy outfits and seriously back-combed hair. They had a few minor hits then suddenly, almost overnight changed gear totally and reinvented themselves as a pure pop band racking up a string of big hits such as International Rescue, Self! and Pink Sunshine. Then they pretty much dropped off the radar for no apparant reason. This CD and DVD collection brings together their best work with 20 tracks on the CD and 9 videos on the DVD. The earlier stuff was as mentioned, quite rough and those who... Read review

We're gonna party like it's 1999
Review of Top Of The Pops '99 Vol.1 - Various Artists by  Rebeccs

Advantages: Some classic songs
Disadvantages: Some dire songs

...The Going Gets Tough is a classic example of their covering just about every classic. Now I like them for this song, because I think they stay true to the original. Again another song to help me work by. 3) Thank Abba For The Music (Steps, Tina Cousins, Cleopatra, B*Witched, & Billie) This one if possible I will skip as I hate this. Now while I enjoy Boyzone for covering classics, and Steps covering Abba, I hate this music mix. I hate it because they've put all the songs I love into one. I just can't stand people interfering with good music like that. On the other hand if you don't mind what they've done with this, you're welcome to it. 4) Steps - Better Best Forgotten Probably one of my favourite Steps songs. One that brings back memories, but nonetheless one I like in its own right. I like the musicality and lyrics for this one. Its... Read review
