Advantages: Great jazz tunes from the Golden Age Disadvantages: None
...guitar to back a song sung by man asking "Whose Honey Are You?"
Indian Summer, by Sidney Bechet is a simple jazz refrain, which is as warm and as welcome as an Indian Summer. Sidney Bechet, feel some people, is one of the neglected heroes of the GoldenAge of Jazz. He should not be.
Art Tatum's Stormy Weather is a good tune, much performed down to this day by score upon score of artistes. This version is a good, simple version of this classic tune. Just played on the piano, using a lilting style that is fully conversant with the jazz idiom.

Advantages: It hosts some classic manson songs, it has some great playing Disadvantages: A lot of fillers, seems a bit preoccupied in trying to achive the shock factor
....
The first main song on the album (not including the short opening track at the start which can’t really be classed as a song) is “This Is The New Shit”. This song is very strange, in the way that it seems to almost be a parody of himself. Not a very strong point to get going on, in my opinion. Although it is saved by the next song, the sublime “mObscene”.
mObscene is the song that really got me interested in Marilyn Manson. It’s a classic rock song. That’s the thing about Manson, the music he plays isn’t really goth. It’s more hard rock for people with strong opinions or who want to seem like they do. This song has some very clever lyrics and is just brilliant.
The GoldenAge Of Grotesque, the track is the album is named after, is the 6th song on the CD. At first, I thought it was, well, rubbish. But when I really got into it, I realized...

Advantages: All the best R'n'B anthems from '04 & '05 Disadvantages: A little dated now
...This is an excellent round up of all the R'n'B smashes of 2004 and 2005 with a few nostalgic classics thrown in for good measure. It covers the slow jams, the dancefloor joints and everything in between from artists as diverse as Wayne Wonder, Lucy Pearl, Kelis and Usher.
CD2 also takes us back with classic gems from the likes of D'Angelo (whose 'Brown Sugar' pretty much defined and kick started the neo soul scene), Janet Jackson (with her undeniable classic 'That's The Way Love Goes') and Blackstreet (with club hit 'No Diggity' featuring Dr Dre)
This album is the perfect party album and although it avoids raritites, its sound understanding of R'n'B past and present make it a must have for any music lover....
