Advantages: Quireboys doing what they best Disadvantages: not as good as there previous work
...This is another good record by the not so well known quireboys.
Who have never really got the recognition that they deserve despite having been around for nearly 20 years now.
First off the track listing for this album is
1 - Good to see ya
2 - The finer stuff
3 - Lorraine Lorraine
4 - Too Familiar
5 - You've got a nerve
6 - Whats your name?
7 - Sweet as the rain
8 - The last fence
9 - Black Mariah
At first listen this album seems as though the band have been reflecting on the past few years. Having said that dont think this is a completly quiet ballard filled album. The quireboys still know how to write a good rocking song as 'Good to see ya', 'The finer stuff' and 'The last fence' prove
The albums opener 'Good to see ya' starts the album rocking with a good effective guitar part, however it is probably one...

Advantages: Lyrically Inspired, No Bad Tracks! Disadvantages: You'll never be able to stop listening!
...This is the Number ONE debut album from indie Coventry boys The Enemy. I bought the album 3 hours before they played at the Coventry Godiva festival and I am also seeing them at Leeds festival! This album is definitly the best debut album I have heard this year.
We\'ll live and die in these towns (named after a graffiti tag spray painted in a toilet) is full of great songs, musically and lyrically. Everybody has heard "Away From Here" and "Had Enough" on the radio. Catchy to say the least, these were good choices or single releases, but werent by far the best on the album.
Tom Clarke (Lead Vocals and Guitar) sings about the bands experience, working 9-5 to get minimum wage and growing up on the streets of Coventry. There are a number of simple yet catchy guitar riffs, mimicked by Andy Hopkins, (Backing vocals and Bass...

Advantages: A really catchy, well put together debut album Disadvantages: They seemed to slip by without most people noticing

While the Monkeys were taking the charts by storm, another band from Sheffield, friends of the Arctic's were also starting to make a name for themselves. In fact Milburn were doing it in much the same way, with word of mouth spreading around the internet and thousands of people downloading the bands songs. The likes of the NME slowly started to pick up on the buzz around Milburn and while they were still promoting the Arctic's without remorse, Milburn released there debut album, WellWellWell.
They are part of the vibrant Sheffield scene and the debut album came after 5 years of hard work. They had formed in 2001 when they were just 14 years old and played a number of gigs for their mates in drummer, Joe Green's, house...
