Advantages: Fun, brilliant for everyone Disadvantages: Might be busy depending on time of year
On my trip to Florida we had a day to spend at the MGM Studios which is part of Walt Disney World. However it is worth noting that as from the 1st of January this year (2008), the studios changed their name to Hollywoodstudios. Anyway I thought I would share my views on this park as it really is excellent and a great place for all the family to go.

Just a quick note on this but most UK customers will pre purchase their tickets to all the parks before going to Florida and this really is the best way to do it. On an average cost of £200 per adult, a 3 week ultimate ticket as they are called, will allow you access to all the Disney themed parks which include the HollywoodStudios, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Blizzard Beach and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon as well as giving free entry to some of the clubs ...
Advantages: Is brilliant for rides and familys to visit. Disadvantages: The park is on a hill and its hard to access the lower parts.
the queuing times of everything and telling you when the shows are on next. When your walking around its very refreshing because there is water being sprayed in your face.
We loved the Jurassic park ride the most, it was really clever how they had dinosaurs jumping out at you. The best bit is the tour which is another thing to tick off your list early, the new Simpson's ride is defiantly worth queuing for, and is brilliant for all ages. Its a very long day, but the park like most others gets extremely busy and its much better to go early rather than later.
You should definitely visit the original Universal studios because, although the copy in Florida has more rides, seeing all the movie sets and cars from the films is definitely worth it.

Advantages: An 'extravaganza' everyone should experience at least once Disadvantages: A bit pricey for a young family
Occasional visits to our daughter in the States will include jumping in their car and driving hundreds of miles across Arizona to reach a 'must see' wonder of the world (Grand Canyon) or glitzy tourist city (Las Vegas). On this occasion, we were going to be in Los Angeles just about an hour's drive from the Universal Studios. Great! The three t's: trashy, tacky and totally tasteless. Life's far to short not to have some seriously silly fun.
