Advantages: 2 hours of heaven if you're a fan Disadvantages: Screaming girls make your ears bleed
go and see them somewhere else. So i offered to take her to Newcastle,as my sister lives there, to watch their concert at a different arena. Obviously this meant either
(a) She would go on her own, or
(b) I would go with her
So being the loving boyfriend that i am, we plumped for option (b), then went on to trowel through ebay looking for reasonable tickets. We found a couple of tickets, so in May, went on our merry jaunt up to Geordie-land to see Westlife on their Greatest Hits tour.
So anyway, that was last year, and this is this year. When the tickets for this years 'Turnaround' tour were announced, i knew that i would end up going again. Advantages: Some good songs Disadvantages: A bit lame in places
While everyone wonders if the previously fortunate five will become the floundering foursome due to lower than expected chart positions and the departure of Bryan, Westlife played to a packed Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle. After "What Makes A Man", there was an introduction and the crowd - which consisted of people of all ages - were happy to welcome the band. The excellent "World Of Our Own" was next. However, there was a lull in the show during the boring "Flying Without Wings ...
Advantages: The drop dpwn platform- it was great Disadvantages: It had to end!!
Well.. what can i say. Being a devoted Westlife fan going to another concert was soooo exciting. We had been to one two years ago and it was amazing so we knew what to expect. The boys put so much effort into the tour- the singing, the dancing and the overall show. Their band were great- such amazing musicians. And theh highlight of the night for me was the platform which came down from the ceiling. It gave everyone the chance to get closer to Westlife and they looked really happy to be there- the atmosphere was just amazing. They were waaving at everyone and you could see peoples faces lighting up- it was such a good experience. I will be going again next year and i would reccommend that you do too- even if you dont think it is your cup of tea- i can promise you you will be amazed ...
