From that day until this, I think its the best and most inspiring album I've ever heard. I'm a sucker for a good slow song, so heres my review of the songs individually:
Swear It All Over Again : Their debut single. Song about staying together sharing things forever, a real heartwarmer.
If I Let You Go : A mid tempo number and a great follow up to Swear It Again
Flying Without Wings : Their signature tune. A slow number with powerful vocals and deeper meaning.
Fool Again : Another mid tempo number, but not quite as strong as the other songs on the album.
No no : One of the few up tempo songs. Strong vocals and a dancey beat, it has an annoying tune you just can't stop humming!
I Don't Wanna Fight No More : Sounds a bit like Flying Without Wings but has deep and meaningful lyrics and very strong vocals.
Change The World : Another Mid Tempo and another set of thought provoking lyrics. Not the strongest one on the album.
Moments : A weak song with good lyrics but it is just to slow and the chorus is not as good as you'd expect.
Season's In The Sun : A cover version, and a good chance to hear those who never get to sing the lead. Very strong vocals.
I Need You : A very strong Mid Tempo song with once again very strong vocals and good lyrics.
Miss You : A typical mystical Irish song with its intro, probably one of the strongest vocally and very inspiring songs.
More Than Words : Features Kian on guitar. A cover version and rather disappointingly not very strong at all vocally. Another though that you just can't stop humming!
Open Your Heart : An uptempo number but still has the lyrics of a ballad. Strong vocally but not one of my favourites.
Try Again : A sweet Irish sounding one, with very strong vocals from Shane, who dominates the song whilst the others just ohh and ah in the background.
What I Want Is What I've Got : One of my personal favourites. Its a mid tempo number with strong lyrics, chorus and fantastic vocals.
We Are One: A very slow song which starts off weak, but builds up to a strong ending, with a fantastic harmony in the middle from Mark.
Can't Lose What You Never Had : A very strong song that finishes the album with a flourish!
Advantages: A mix of songs Disadvantages: I know some people are not fond of Westlife
...have re-discovered my collection of Westlife albums, which I will admit I have added to as each new album has come on sale. Now I am well aware that Westlife aren't everyone's favourite band and their remakes of classic songs and on stage 'moves' don't exactly go down well with some people. Saying this however I am one of those peoples that find Westlife quite enjoyable to listen to. Their albums are easy to pick-up and I usually find that I like ... ...say that there is one Westlife song that I have truly detested. Westlife are an Irish pop band that were formed in 1998 with five members Shane, Bryan, Kian, Nicky and Mark. They were signed by Simon Cowell and are currently managed by Louis Walsh. Since their formation the bands music has greatly evolved and moved from teen pop to contempary adult music. In 2004 Bryan left the band to work on solo projects but despite rumours the rest of the band ...

Westlife worked on alot of their debut album at Cheiron Studios in Sweden, working with Per Magnusson/Jorgen Elofsson/David Kreuger/Max Martin - some of the writers behind such acts as Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys) aswell as working on quite a few of the tracks at Rokstone Studios in London with songwriting duo Steve Mac and Wayne Hector. ...think there is anything about Westlife that sets them aside from other boybands although their chart success is speaks for itself. However I think they probably owe a lot of that to Ronan Keating as his connection gave the boys a lot of publicity that a band normally wouldn’t get on for their first single. The songs on the album are not as clear-cut as with other boybands who have obvious ballads and up-tempo songs. Advantages: Some great tracks Disadvantages: They get a bit boring
You won’t be surprised by Westlife’s debut album. It starts with the singles (Swear It Again, If I Let You Go, Flying Without Wings, Fool Again) before the only relatively upbeat song arrives – No No, and is also one of the best on this album. The songs stay single quality right up to Seasons In The Sun (track 10) but after that the songs become less memorable and more unoriginal, as well as the quality of the lyrics deteriorating. Anyhow, it’s a ...

This is Westlife's first album, and I have to say they have done pretty well. I can't believe this album never got to no. 1. The album includes their debut single swear It Again... little did we know then that song would change ...
Advantages: I suppose that they got a lot of hit singles from this!! Disadvantages: I dont really know why....its an album of ballads.
Who are westlife??
Oh my god....if you dont know the answer to this question where have you been for the past 6 and a half years....Westlife (originally known as westside) were formed in 1998 by PopIdol and Xfactor Judge Louis Walsh, who at the tiem was also managing boyband boyzone. Westside were up for best newcomers at the 1998 smash hits awards against a1 and my town and they won....and the rest is history as they say.

Advantages: good songs Disadvantages: a few weak songs
The album marks Westlife's come back from the oldies to their real genre. After "The Love Album" i was a bit disappointed but this album made me love them again.
The highlights of the album are songs like "Home" and "Something Right" which are totally Westlife material. Im sure all Westlife fans will enjoy listening to the songs of this album. And to those of you who are listening to them for the 1st time, well i guess you should check out their previous albums first because they are much better. This album is not as good as the 1st couple of albums but it's worth listening to. At least it's better than the love album. For die hard fans like me, u guys should definitely go for it!
I'd rate the album a 7/10.... ...
