What can you say about Tim Westwood, well, he does have a good taste in music thats for sure. I bought this album because I'd already heard his first compilation CD and been highly impressed with It. If you ever listen to westwood on the radio be prepared for somebody trying to be something he isn't. He trys to sound like a 'G' from cali but sounds like an idiot. Never the less his taste in music is great.

Anyway back to the album which is a real classic from radio one DJ Tim Westwood. The thing is Tim Westwood is a white, 40-something English man who's dads a vicar and yet he gets massive respect from all the major rappers which just isn't right.

This album is a class act mixing big artists such as DMX and Ludacris, underground artists like Dead Prez and Three Six Mafia and UK acts like Seanie T, Roots Manuva, Skinnyman and Karl Hinds.

Heres the track list for westwood 2

Disk 1
1. Redman Feat. Adam F - Smash Sumthin'
2. Redman Feat. DJ Kool - Lets Get Dirty
3. M.O.P - Ante Up
4. QB Finest - Oochie Wally
5. Foxy Brown - Oh Yeah
6. Ludacris - Ho
7. Jadakiss - Knock Yourself Out
8. Foxy Brown - Candy
9. R.Kelly - Fiesta
10. Jay-Z - Izzo (H.O.V.A)
11. Eve Feat. Gwen Stefani - Let Me Blow Your Mind
12. Ja Rule - Livin' It Up
13. Iconz - Get Crunked Up
14. Memphis Bleek - Do My...
15. Jay-Z - Dynasty
16. DJ Clue - Change The Game
17. Beanie Sigel - Beanie (Mack B****)
18. Coo Coo Cal - My Projects

Disk 2
1. Three Six Mafia - Tear The Club Up
2. Project Pat - Chickenhead
3. Petey Pablo - Raise Up
4. Dead Prez - Hip Hop
5. Cadillac Tah - Pov City Anthem
6. DMX - You Could Be Blind
7. DMX - We Right Here
8. DMX - Who We Be
9. Mystikal - Been So Long
10. Ludacris And Nate Dogg - Area Codes
11. 2Pac - Thug Nature
12. Sisqo - Can I Live
13. Method Man - Party...
14. Tha Liks - Best U Can
15. Ghostface Killah - Cherchez Laghost
16. Mobb Deep Feat. Nas - Its Mine
17. Kool G Rap - My Life
18. Beanie Sigel - Think Its A Game
19. D-12 - S**t On You
20. Skinnyman - Straight Outta Jail
21. Seanie T Feat. Roots Manuva - S.O.S
22. Hi-Tek - Round And Round
23. Case - Missing You
24. Ja Rule - I Cry

As you may notice from this album list there are many Def Jam artists on this album which may be because he's on Def Jam Himself or maybe he just likes them. Talking of liking things i'm gonna write my top 5 for all you lucky people

5. Jay-Z - Izzo (H.O.V.A)
-------------------------
Taken from the new album Blueprint which has had mixed reviews, this anthem is a real classic. Jay-Z is back to his best as far as this track is concerned catchy chorus, great lyrics and brilliantly mastered

4. Seanie T With Roots Manuva & Karl Hinds
------------------------------------------
An unknown English act that joins a artist (Roots Manuva) that has made a name for himself not only in th UK but also In The US which is no mean feat. Roots provides the chorus for this along with Karl Hinds another UK act. Seanie T shows his potential as a great rapper on this with his slick rapping and sublime beats.

3. DMX - We Right Here
----------------------
This one from Dark Man X is a real street anthem with its rough beats and even more rough lyrics. This song is DMX best since the classic Ruff Ryders Anthem and thats a hard song to beat. DMX really shows people what he is capable of in this song.

2. 2Pac - Thug Nature
---------------------
The late Makaveli appears on this album 5 years after his death. The previously unreleased track is a real classic. Although it comes no where near tracks like California Love and Keep Ya Head Up it still shows why 2pac was a leader in the rap industry. This man is a magician he actually did over 300 songs in his short career and not all them have been released so look out for more hits from Pac

1. Redman Feat. Adam F - Smash Sumthin'
---------------------------------------
This song is produced by Adam F - A UK based producer that is rapidly making a name for himself in the industry. He doesn't disappoint on this track with great background music that only Dr.Dre could come close to. The rapping by Redman is something to shout about his unique rapping style is one of the best things of this tracks. The mix of magic producing and sublime rapping wins the number 1 spot in my top 5

Other Songs That Deserve A Mention
----------------------------------
Iconz - Get Crunked Up
Redman - Smash Sumthin'
Skinnyman - Straight Outta Jail
Ja Rule - Livin' It Up
Ludacris - Ho
Ludacris - Area Codes

This album proves that Westwood has a great taste in music and never disappoints. His previous album was good but this one beats it hands down. Thats all from me ladies and gents hope you enjoyed the op.

You can catch Tim Westwood on the radio one rap show on:

I used to have this album. Your review has reminded me of how banging it was. I've got to go find it again. Cheers!
