Its blend of accessible songs, built around huge hooks lines and lung bursting choruses coupled with the energetic and down to earth nature of the live shows insured Bon Jovis place at the top of the tree. Advantages: some great tracks

...Wet Wet Wet. Yes that band fronted by the permagrinned Marti Pellow who tortured us all in the summer of 1994. Remember Love Is All Around. How could you forget? It was at the top for 16 weeks and drove everyone insane including the band. I am sure that song helped in the downfall of the Wets. I maybe a bit of an indie chick with a penchant for classic singer songwriters now but in the 1990s I used to adore the Wets. I used to be every single record, tape every single program and buy all he magazines and papers they were featured in. Boy I was obsessed. I know they were always totally uncool and uncrediable but there were worse bands to be into. Think of the poor people who cringe at liking Big Fun, Bad Boys Inc or other prancing little bogs. At least the Wets did have talent. They had talent by the bucket load they just did not quite... Read review

Advantages: Great re-working of classic Wets material and some new songs too
Disadvantages: According to my husband I play it too often.

...I feel it in my fingers, I feel it my toesssssssssssss........ Love is all around us and so the feeling growssssssss....... Oh sorry, I'm supposed to be reviewing the CD not just singing along, the trouble is being the huge (not just in weight) fan of Wet Wet Wet and consequently Marti Pellow that I am, how can help but sing along as I “force” myself to listen to this just one more time so that I can enlighten those of you who for some reason (that I really can't fathom) actually don't like his (their) music. ~~~So who's this Marti Pellow then?~~~ Oh come, don't tell me you haven't heard of this god of a man. Marti Pellow, or Mark Mclaughlin as his mother preferred to call him, was and is once more the lead singer of Wet Wet Wet. Not only is he extremely easy on the eye, but he has a fantastic voice.
