INFO/BACKGROUND:
I generally only listen to music by English speaking bands/artists - but I broke the rule with these guys.

Kane are a dutch band and could perhaps be compared to the likes of U2. As I understand it, they're very big in the NL where they hail from, but they're practically unheard of here in the UK - which is a damn shame, because these guys are absolutely amazing.
I have NEVER heard a band play live as well as these guys - it's absolutely beautiful.

DESCRIPTION:
Musically as I said previously, they could be compared to U2 and the other typical alternative/rock-pop on the market today. The lead singer has a fantastically deep yet clear voice, and he improvs well. Occasionally you can hear the hint of a dutch accent, but he sings completely in English on this CD - so not to worry, you'll be able to understand it well.

These guys have a lot of good variation. They can pull off the orchestral/guitar driven acoustic ballads, and they can also then hit you hard with some rock-pop beats.

Highlights:
"Rain down on Me" - Fantastic opener to this CD, very catchy pop beat.

"Damn those Eyes" - Tearjerkingly beautiful orchestra driven song.

"So Glad You Made It" - Very catchy kind of "Welcome to Kane" style song. Good to get acquainted with them. If you don't tap your feet or hands whilst listening to this, there's something wrong with you.

"Let it Be" - Beautiful song where the vocals really take focus.

Bottom line: "A Dutch U2?"
