What pop acts are more than welcome to cover, however, are other pop tunes, as they can’t do as much harm. The Pointer Sisters’ “Jump” got a working over for the “Love Actually” soundtrack and its retro pop-disco sound is perfect for Girls Aloud. It’s been bought up to date a little musically, ... Advantages: A very decent pop album Disadvantages: Not terribly original
...a really weak version of what was a pop-rock ballad. As Britney Spears has already proved, pop acts really shouldn’t try and cover soft rock songs, and this maintains that theory.

In what was a lacklustre year for bubblegum pop acts, this album doesn’t have any serious competition for the best pop album around. If your neighbours are into pop music, I can tell you what they’ll say – buy it now. ...

Advantages: Some great catchy songs Disadvantages: Some not so good ones
...they are confused as to what is happening between them and a guy.
6. Deadlines & Diets (4.00) 5/5
This is my favourite song in the album it is a laid back track which has a very slinky beat to it. There is a funky guitar beat being played throughout the song and a really relaxing beat. I think the girls get to show off their voices a wee bit in this song. It is about how they are fed up with their life, all the deadlines, diets and devious men ... ...it hard to figure out what this song is about I think it might be about her daddy being too strict and he needs to let her go and stop trying to protect her. The next two tracks are bonus tracks.
13. I Say A Prayer For You (3.35) 3/5
This is a slow song and isn't much to rave about. You could have the album playing and not even realise this track playing if you weren't paying attention, as it doesn't grab your attention, as there is nothing catchy ...

Advantages: Possibly the best pop/electro album of the year Disadvantages: People will diss em cos they are Girls Aloud
...on album... very reminisent of what you got on their debut.
Synth ballad 'Hear Me Out' and is the sort of song Sugababes would have liked to nick and Atomic Kitten would have sold their souls for. Singing about 'broken and bleeding' hearts, being 'left out in the rain' theres also talky bits and the ever useful soul finding middle eight! We like!
The bext song on the album is without question 'Graffiti My Soul'. This song is weirdly brilliant. ... ...'Here We Go' is what the Spice Girls would be singing if they were around today! This has a real 60's feel about it with a catchy backing loop, before full Girl Power on the chorus. This is apparently a band favourite, and should be one of the fans.
An electro too far with 'Thank Me Daddy'. this is working to a formula but is a case of cos it has to not cos it needs too. Too many synths and not enough punch. I also hate when people call there boyfriends ...

Advantages: Very very danceable songs!! Disadvantages: 3 slow songs to every 1 fast-paced song
...can’t put my finger on what makes me say this but there is a definite Spanish Tango feeling about it. I am having real difficulty writing about each song as, from my point of view, they are all the same rhythm wise. Catchy and danceable. This song on the other hand doesn’t drift out giving it an extra mark closer to ten. 6/10
11) Here We Go 3:47
Must say very, very bland. Nothing good to say about this song. The lyrics have nothing to shout about. ... ...thin on my patience. 3/10
12) Thank Me Daddy 3:25
Much like Beyoncé Knowles song ‘Daddy’, this song plays on the theme of fathers and their protection over there daughters. This song on the other hand goes along the raunchy route. Singing about the ‘beds I’m shaking’ and ‘rules I’m breaking’. This surprised me as I was under the impression that Girls Aloud were targeting the 8-15 age group and with lyrics like this I can’t help but feel that they ...

Advantages: Catchy , Better Than The Original Disadvantages: I've heard Better Songs
...audience would have been unaware as to who GirlsAloud were. Although , GirlsAloud's version of Jump is on the British version of the Love Actually Soundtrack. Jump comes under the Dance Pop genre. The length of this song is three minutes and forty seconds. Jump is on GirlsAloud's second album ; What Will The NeighboursSay. The CD includes B-Side songs ; GirlsAloud and Grease.
Jump is an energetic song ; a favorite at parties. It has a beat which makes you want to get up and 'Jump' when the girls shout 'Jump' in the song. I had heard the original version of this song , and have to say that this one is the best one by far. This is definitely a catchy tune ; one which often stays in your head for hours! This song has a funky beat. The vocals are quite strong and are equally shared between the band members. At certain parts of the song...

Advantages: A far more accomplished second album Disadvantages: The UK release was 7 months after the US release!
.... This is basic pop music, wonderfully performed, with the odd heavy edge there. If GirlsAloud's "What Will the NeighboursSay" was the pop album of 2004, this is to be its successor.
Being a new album, it's yet to appear too cheaply in places like eBay and the Amazon Marketplace, at £3.20 and £6.75 respectively, but for 52 minutes of the highest quality pop music, no fan should begrudge paying £8.75 from CD Wow, or £8.99 from Amazon or Play.com.
If you're going to like this, or know someone who would, buy it now. Please! Hopefully it will sell well enough to make Kelly Clarkson a star in the UK as well as in the US and I won't have to wait seven months after the American release for my copy of her third album!...
