month of it going multi-platinum, The Times claimed they were more important than the Fabs; and Liam Gallagher was inviting George Harrison to fight him on Primrose Hill. But then, you'd feel cocky enough to pick on a Beatle if you'd just recorded these songs. Obviously the singles--"Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back In Anger", "Some Might Say"--rock; but it's a shocker rediscovering just how ace the album tracks are. The minor-chord that the chorus of "Hey Now!" pivots on could liquefy a brick; "Champagne Supernova" is the sound of a band riding the nose-cone of a rock & roll Concorde, and as for "She's Electric"--ah, well. Every New Beatles must have their "Maxwell's Silver Hammer". --Caitlin Moran

the 'greatest debut of all time' in certain quarters. Never known to hide their light under a bushel the band unleash their second set of killer tunes with Morning Glory which takes the charts by storm and becomes the focal point in the phenomenon now known as Britpop. The album goes on to rank as many fans favourite and is home to some of the most memorable singles the group has ever released. Oasis - (What's The Story?) Morning Glory: A Classic Album Under Review is a documentary film which revisits and re-assesses this powerhouse of a record. With the use of archive footage long forgotten videos and contributions from those around at the time this program uncovers why the band's second album is arguably their most satisfying. Features Include: - Live and studio performances of tracks from Morning Glory reviewed by a panel of esteemed experts. - Band interviews rarely seen photographs and archive footage. - Review comment criticism and insight from; ex-NME writer and official Oasis biographer Paolo Hewitt; Noel Gallagher's early employee and organist in Inspiral Carpets Clint Boon; punk veteran writer and Manchester author John Robb; bassist in Britpoppers Dodgy Nigel Clark; ex-Mojo editor and guitar music expert Pat Gilbert; Manchester local radio DJ who championed Oasis early on Justin Moorhouse; ex-Uncut editor Paul Lester and others.
Advantages: Choruses sung out to absolute perfection and the instrumental side also excellent. Disadvantages: I honestly fail to think of any.

When it comes to Oasis albums you're absolutely spoilt for choice when picking a favourite; several of the bands releases are absolutely excellent, for me ... ...just about has the edge however as it's just absolutely brilliant from start to finish and never here is there ever a dull moment. From opening track 'Hello' right through to closing anthem 'Champagne Supernova' the music is just absolutely exceptional and I fail to find any fault whatsoever with this incredible Britpop album from Oasis.
So 'Hello' is the track which opens the album, its chorus is taken from Gary Giltter's 'Hello, Hello, I'm Back ...

Advantages: Excellent album and a superb follow up to Definitely Maybe Disadvantages: None, unless you dont like Oasis
Its possibly one of the most recognisable albums to come out of the 90's, it was the album that officially put Oasis onto the musical map. More importantly it's the centre of god knows how many debates about the best Oasis album. Between it and the debut album Definitely Maybe the debate has gone on for almost ten years. For me there has never been much in it and my favourite can change from one week to the next depending on my mood and surroundings. ... ...little to choose between them is a rarity these days, but Oasis did just that.
Of course where the first album relied on the raw energy of recording in bedrooms and generally doing whatever they could to cut costs. This second album was more focussed on the song writing and production element. The vocals sounded more produced than the debut, but for certain tracks on this album that actually helped Liam. I mean could you imagine Wonderwall sung ...

Quick review of (What's The Story) Morning Glory - Oasis Review of(What's The Story) Morning Glory - Oasisby

The definative anthem to 90's Britain, this album really put Oasis on a different level to all those around them. Many felt that this album was the stepping stone for Oasis to reach the heights of fame that only the likes of the Beatles, Rolling Stones and U2 have reached. Unfortunately they didn't ever quite match the quality of this or 'Definately Maybe' in future albums.
With so many classic Brit Pop tracks, this is a must have for any music lover. Almost all the tracks are sing-a-long classics that remind you of great times when you were young and carefree.

Quite simply an outstanding album. It's not just their best ever but one of the all time great albums. What’s The Story Morning Glory was the first album that I bought, aged 10 and I haven't found a better one yet. This is a rare case of every song being hit single quality, that you can listen to again and again. I have heard several people with completely different ... ...with the anthemic Hello and Roll With It and continues in the same vein. Songs like Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger and Champagne Supernova remind you that this is a band that will still be listened to in 50 years time. My personal favourite is Champagne Supernova though it’s so hard to choose. The song begins with gentle guitar and lyrics and builds to a euphoric crescendo. All of the songs feature the great sing along choruses that Oasis are ...

Advantages: Some of their greatest hits all on one disc Disadvantages: None
...As far as I'm concerned Oasis' best album to date. Oasis are made up of Liam and Noel Gallacher (brothers), Gem Archer and Andy Bell. They provide a BritPop/Rock genre of music and have been active since 1991.
It was this album that first got me into Oasis, hearing it in my Dads car around ten years ago. It contains many of their best ever hits, including Wonderwall (Reached no. 2), Don't Look Back In Anger (Reached no. 1) and Champagne Supernova. Wonderwall is a very well known song, having been played on many adverts, films and TV shows over the years, since the album was released in 1995.
The album sold 347,000 copies in its first week, and over 20,000,000 worldwide to the present day. In 1997, it was named 5th greatest album ever in the "Music of the Millenium" poll, with 4 singles released in the UK, all reached at least...

Advantages: A band at their peak Disadvantages: a couple of weak songs
...What’s the storymorningglory by oasis is without arguments one of the albums of the nineties this is the sound of a band realising their potential and fulfilling it. At their peak they were the biggest band around, with a mixture of the Arrogance and great lyrics they were the ultimate rock ’n’ roll band. The best tracks on this album are Don’t look back in anger, What’s the story (morningglory), and personal favourite She’s electric. Just because of the way the lyrics rhyme in every sentence but the song still works. This album is a must for all rock and indie lovers....

...Oasis, (What's the story) MorningGlory?
Oasis' second studio album, (What's the story) MorningGlory?, is in my opinion an improvement on the poor Definitely Maybe. It contains in total 12 tracks, although two of these are nameless and can't really be classed as songs in themselves. Despite this, it is a wonderful album, and every track is great. I am not a fan of Oasis, but this album ids a must have for anyone. Track Listing: Hello, Roll With It, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Hey Now!, Medley1, Some might Say, Cast No Shadow, She's Electric, MorningGlory, Medley2, Champagne Supernova....
