...After reading rumbleg's review I'm at pains to add anything else. I also bought on the strength of Mr. Rock and Roll, not usually a good idea as those who bought Gnarls Barclay will testify!!, and I have to say after 2 months with this album it fails to lose its appeal for me. It's folky, uptempo, and Let's Start A Band always gets the whole household singing. I have a particular affinity with Footballers Wives as the bunch of wasters and celebrity seekers that they are(oops! a little bit too political?) How this talent not even got a mention at the Brits is beyond me when Kate Nash (who I don't mind by the way) and the rest of the Brit School mob take the awards over. Advantages: Modern 'Big Band' Sound
Disadvantages: No new material

...Think 'Swing' think Las Vegas, Chicago maybe even a bit of jazz from New Orleans. But Vancouver? Surely not! Such was my opinion when my better half made clear her expectations to find a young canadian singer under the Christmas Tree come the big day. "Can't remember his name though. Something funny". Having informed her she'd have to settle for the CD, I duly set out on what I fully expected would be a long quest. Other than Bryan Adams I couldn't in my ignorance think of another Canadian singer and had difficulty getting the image of Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy in his 'Mountie' uniform, out my mind. Maybe she'd been watching an old movie!!
