...A friend of mine has lent me Hitler Bad, Vandals good and I was surprised to find just how good this album was and I never knew it existed. The Vandals are in the same class of music as Pennywise, CIV and the more popular Blink 182. Some of the songs on this album are very strange to say the least. the best song called I've Got An Ape Drape is all about hair cuts. It does sound abit lame but it is a boody good track. there is also a song about being dumped by your girlfriend and a truck running her over and chopping off her head. The inlay card is a bit strange the songs are not in the same order as they are billed and almost every song the lyrics in some place are not the same as the inlay card which does make following the tracks a little confusing. ...My Friend got me into the vandals, it is his favourite band, and i had never heard of them before. so he lent me his album and now i am hooked too. the lyrics to their songs are deffineatly original, i have never heard any other band sing about haircuts, have you?!?!! the last song on the album is a cover version of "so long, farewell" (from the sound of music) that is a must to listen to. my favourite song is "my girlfriends dead" it is pure genius! it goes..."i once had a girlfriend,but then one day she dumped me and everywhere i go people would ask me where she was, i dont want to talk about her, someone always asks about her so i tell them all she's dead!" it continues "i say its leukemia or sometimes bulimia or a great big truck ran her over and chopped off her head, i dont wannna talk about her, someone always asks about her, so i... ...The new album by the Vandals is released today in the U.K. "Look What I Almost Stepped In". And what a waste of time the album was. Don't get me wrong I love the Vandals (usually), Live Fast Diarrhea is a classic album, one of my faves. But, the new one just sucks. The first track goes on about how this album could be the big one the one that breaks them. I don't think so boys! It's by far their worst album to date. I would say only the real hardcore Vandals fans would like it, but then I suppose I am one and don't. Maybe this is one for the masses of teenie kids who are suddenly discovering real music and listening to punk bands. But if I was you, don't get it just go out any buy their old albums instead. Fear of a Punk Planet or Peace Thru Vandalism, now they rule, this most definitely does not.... Read review
