First of all I would like to clarify that I am not a TV addict however I couldn't live without my sky plus box. It has become an everyday essential to my family & I & is in constant use in our household. It's the best thing since sliced bread! I personally love sky+ & don't think I've come across anyone who doesn't. It's easy to use, practical & fast. I haven't encountered any problems with the box so far however when I had an issue with my bill I phoned the sky+ helpline at 1am & they were happy to help giving friendly efficient advice & immediately solved the problem. I have nothing but praise for sky & would recommend it to anyone. It can be a bit expensive but for all the services it offers I think it is definitely worth paying a bit more & knocks all of the competition straight out of the park. SKY + TV CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE!

Advantages: I have clearer tv than the terrestrial signal
Disadvantages: I pay over the odds and now believe I would have gotten a better deal going through virgins tv box

I recently had sky installed in my flat and have had trouble ever since! 1. They called me on day of delivery telling me they had run out of sky plus boxes due to the popular design. 2. They finally came at 6pm after i had taken the whole day off work! 3. They installed the boxonly to tell me I wouldnt recieve the full functionallity of the box due to the communal sky dish in my flat not having a sat 2 output. 4. The channels keep going off and the tv displays a no sky signal is being recieved. 5. I waited up to 30 minutes on hold whilst waiting to even speaking to a customer service advisor. 6. I finally got through then was taken through a system health check to be told my signal should be fine now. 7. Then the next day it started doing exactly the same thing again so I called back got through to some foriegn call ...

old for them. The box can record two simultaneous programmes, if you are watching a different channel you can only record one programme. However, you can record two programmes and watch a prerecorded programme at the same time. When I got Sky + installed I found it was much cheaper to go to a ASA (Authorised Service Agent) than to Sky direct. Sky were charging £75 to have it installed, the ASA charged only £45 which included the box and the installation. Currently Sky are charging £99 if you sign up online and £150 if you sign up over the phone. My local ASA are charging £49 for the same thing. So it may be worth ring round a few aerial companies before deciding to phone Sky. If you want to use the recording facilities for the Sky + box you either need to be a Sky subscriber, or you have to pay £10 a month to Sky ...
