Whispering to Witches - Fairly Average Fantasy With A Twist

Advantages: Good Characters, Interesting Plot
Disadvantages: Might be a bit simple/short for some people

What seemed like an average day to Joe Binks soon turns out to be anything but. After finding out he is to spend his Christmas not with his father but with his mother, stepsister and stepfather he embarks on the journey to Canterbury. However, after sharing a train compartment with some rather strange companions he gets off at the wrong stop and borrows a tricycle to finish his journey. It doesn?t quite go to plan when he lands in the middle of a failing witches coven, the Dead Nettle Coven. It's not all bad for him though, because before he can continue on his way he makes friends with a young witch called Twiggy, something which entangles him in the middle of a conspiracy while they hunt for an elusive missing page from a spell book. As you read, you're introduced to all sorts of different characters, from a magical cat called Squib ...

We DonT need to whisper

Advantages: good sound very original
Disadvantages: not as good as the follow up.

ANGELS AND AIRWAVES:WE DONT NEED TO WHISPER.., this is such a good album but i must admit its not as good as their second album I-Empire. their second album has more meaning than this one. but the songs are brilliant. the original bassist in this band was Ryan sinn but he left due to difficulties with rest of the band. the first song Valkyrie Missile:same as all angels and airwaves songs it takes at least 2 minutes to get this song going which is kind of annoying really then it starts with talking like people in a rocket then another further 50 seconds or so and the beat speeds up the drumming then gets faster and at last singing. Distraction:hmm well this is one of my favourites actually i listen to this at least 20 times a day and all i hear off people is put something else on will you,i think the reason i like this song so ...

Review of We Don't Need To Whisper - Angels & Airwaves

'The Holiday' DVD

Advantages: Jack Black, very good scenes showing the chemistry between characters, excellent soundtrack
Disadvantages: Cameron Diaz can be quite irritating but not enough to put me off

Having recently watched this film, I have to say I was impressed. I'm not a huge fan of chickflicks but this film inparticular has some worthwhile scenes, particularly between Kate Winslet and Jack Black, though I admit that often the character played by Cameron Diaz was irritating - she plays a very high-maintenance workaholic who seems to fail at relationships. The story is about both Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz's struggles with love and results in them agreeing to participate in a home exchange in order to escape their current lives. The film also has an excellent music score primarily by Hans Zimmer, also featuring the likes of Imogen Heap and Sia. I felt it got across some good points and gave me a newfound respect for Jack Black - although I am a fan of his he can sometimes be very annoying, but in this film he was brilliant ...
