Kung Fu Panda is an American animated comedy film which was first released in 2008. It was directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne and runs for 92 minutes. It features the voices of many famous actors and actresses and is set in ancient China.
~The Plot~
I won't give too much away about the plot as it spoils it for those reviewers who have not yet had the pleasure of seeing the movie. The film centres around Po - an overweight, unfit panda who works in the noodle business with his father but dreams of better things. He aspires to be a kung-fu expert but doesn't stand a chance in hell of ever becoming that.
A chance encounter sees Po chosen as the dragon warrior and the movie follows him being trained by kung-fu expert Master Shifu in order to defeat the much feared Tai Lung (a snow leapord) whois descending on the town in ...

the fact that he is playing a giant Panda who can perform Kung Fu. It might also have something to do with the fact that Jack Black is a little big himself so maybe that makes it more believable but he really does do a good job.
The other thing I really liked about this film was the graphics and animation. It was such a wonderfully colourful film, with beautiful scenes of China and the surrounding areas. I think they did a really good job of bringing the screen alive and it almost made it look real and like you were actually there partaking in the scenes. According to the New York Times, the beginning part of the film was "striking" and "visually different from most mainstream American animations." The beginning included a hand-drawn animation, made to resemble Chinese shadow puppetry. I also liked this bit and I thought it set the film up ...
Well i must say my family and I had been waiting a while to see this film as it looked so good on the trailer we saw when i took them to watch another film at the local cinema.
Kung Fu Panda was out to watch at the cinema on 4th July 2008.It was finally released on dvd on the 17th November.
First of all for those who have not seen it yet and are debating about it let me tell you the general jist of the story.
