Advantages: a good length, a nice mix of the elements of hip hop, clever and funny Disadvantages: not many that i can see.
Jurrasic Five feel to them. MC Paul Barman is also hilarious with his bonkers lyrics and mad jibes. Both songs on here warrant buying the albums of those artists, which was probably the idea, but worth it as they are tremendous artists in their own right.
At 36 tracks long, you might be fooled into thinking this is a long album, but the scratch skits are only short and so the album ends up being a nice length. It?s a good listen, well worth the money and the splitting sides. A nice mix of rap and DJing for all comers. Frankly if I had to pick, Vol.1 and 2 are DJ Yoda?s best work.

Advantages: great text, artwork and story Disadvantages: none
(in fact, I sometimes think it has too many squashed in), but it somehow works quite effortlessly in this case. We have counting, days of the week, names of foodstuffs and of course the caterpillar transformation too.
Carle makes an great use of bright, modern pictures; varied page sizes (increasing from Monday, when one fruit is eaten to Saturday, with a giant list of items) depicting all kinds of fruit devoured by the caterpillar.
Each page is marked by those little holes marking caterpillar's track which are truly great for putting little fingers in (and the fingers fit, surprisingly - toddler fingers that is, not adult)!
The text works well and is very suitable for reading aloud, it has its own, simple but almost hypnotic rhythm. Add to this the magic beginning ("in the light of the moon...") and the wonderful butterfly ...
Advantages: amusing, classic tracks, well put together Disadvantages: possibly a bit short, but only because it leaves you wanting more
Dan Greenpeace and DJ Yoda are apparently great friends. The work together running a radio show on Xfm and also make beautiful music together. ?Unthugged? is one such outing, not to be confused with ?unthugged the essential mix? which is also a good album ? but a completely different one.
Those that know DJ Yoda will be familiar with the setup in this album. Its much of the same and just as awesome, cuttin? and pastin?, choppin? and scratin? is the name of the game and its done well. Ugly Duckling are featured one again, kicking off the mixtape with the hilarious ?meat shake? an imaginary tale about a fast food company that sells, yes, you guessed it, ?meat shakes?. This is just a slice of the pie. The rest is just as brilliant. ?Yoda meets the Mr Men? does what it says on the tin as DJ Yoda scratches off with the Mr Men theme tune ...
