Advantages: Some great moments Disadvantages: Nothing special, confusing artwork
An intense Wolverine fan since I can remember, it is only recently that I have delved into the history behind the mutant Marvel consider to be pretty much the most popular individual cult character they have had. However, I was a bit unsure about what I would find, whether it would destroy my perceptions or whether it would add to my being a fan.
Having seen the recent film Wolverine: Origins, I was wondering whether it would be the same, but it's completely different. It harkens back to when Wolverine was a child named James, a sheltered son of a wealthy family, and it develops his life as an outcast following deaths, as he flees with Rose, who is also blamed for the deaths.
The story develops somewhat, as Wolvie grows a bit older, and it is the tale that is quite enticing here, how he winds up in a quarry in the coldest parts ...

Fans of the X-Men series of films will love the 2009, Gavin Hood, prequel film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine explores the origins of the X-Men characters, Logan/Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) from his younger days in the nineteenth century when he discovers his regeneration powers along with his brother and fellow mutant, Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber). Wolverine and his brother Victor spend years fighting in wars to satisfy their violent desires and skills. They eventually join Colonel William Stryker?s (Danny Huston) and his Team X of mutants. It is during this when Wolverine undergoes the bonding of his skeleton with the indestructible metal adamantium, which gives him his trademark strength. Wolverine?s bitter conflict with his brother, Victor Creed is also explored.
This is an enjoyable film with a good story ...
Advantages: Well presented and packed with information, facts and great original artwork. Disadvantages: Can't really find any faults with this book !
In 1974 the character "Wolverine" made his debut into the Marvel Universe on the last page of Hulk #180 ... and these days Wolverine has become a well loved character.
