Advantages: Great family movie with good songs! Disadvantages: A slightly slow start
This really is one of the Disney Classics. I love how magical this movie is.
It tells the story of a young boy who is treated like a servant becomes to believe in himself with the help of the wizard Merlin and his owl, Archimedes, and ultimately becomes the King of England.
The story goes that who ever is able to pull the sword from the stone, will become King of England. The sword was set fast in the stone and people came from far and wide to try and pull the sword from the stone.
The young squire, Arthur, manages to do this, despite everyone believing that the only person able to do this would have to be big and strong.
Has some great songs in it, very disney! and it has some really amusing moments. I especially like the bit where Merlin and Arthur turn in to squirrels and some lady squirrels fall in love with them and start ...
Advantages: Some super tracks, nice variety of music, great vocals throughout Disadvantages: A couple of average songs
Leona Lewis' second album has been 2 years in the making, and I've very much been looking forward to the release of this. She came back onto the scene a couple of months ago with the debut single from her new album, Happy, and has been performing it on pretty much all the TV shows she can get onto. Finally, I managed to download it on its release for a bargain price on Tesco Entertainment, and sat there listening to it for the next few hours trying to determine how much I liked it. I put a copy in my car so that I could listen to it when I was driving round, and now after a good few weeks of listening, I'm ready to review and give what I hope is a rounded and full opinion of Leona Lewis' fantastic second album, Echo.
The album begins with Leona's first single from it, Happy. This is a song that people are calling a poor man's "Bleeding ...
gets louder and each chorus gets bigger which results in a big finish with a change of key. A beautiful song.
*Lost Then Found*
This is a duet with One Republic. I was suprised at how well their voices blend together (Before hearing this track , I wouldn't have thought that the two would go well together , although I was pleasantly suprised. This is quite a strong track , one which I enjoyed listening to as it was quite different to hear Leona sing with someone else on an album.
* Stone Hearts *
I like this ballad and like the soft beginning , and after each verse it gets more louder and dramatic. I like the simple sound of the piano chords.
First of all , Echo has a slight different sound to Spirit , although I can't help feeling that Spirit was a better album. On this album , Leona introduces us to a new side ; a more rockier ...
