Advantages Amazing sound, Amazing quality

Disadvantages No disadvantages

Christian metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada is sincerely one of the best metalcore bands of our generation, with their near perfect live and 100% original songs. I have no idea where they find the ideas to write such groundbreaking tunes, but im not complaining cause their third album, With Roots Above Branches, is so good!

1. Sassafras: The song immediately takes a dive into an abyss of riffs and suddenly drops into a growling breakdown. What a start to an album don't you say? I have to say that the guitar work in this song is superbly unique, and the synth and pianowork is so good. The drop into the chorus is what really catches me, and with Jeremy's voice sounding like angels from the sky, i have to say i love this track. 5/5

2. I Hate Buffering: An intense long growl accompanied by triplets on the kickdrum starts off this song, and then transforms into a melodic but brutal symphony of guitars and drums. This song starts off well and ends well, lets put things that way. 4/5

3. Assistance To Regional Manager: the riff in the the introduction of the song really left me yearning for more, and i replayed it even before the song hit 0.06. Sweeps in the chorus and a really ambient riff in the bridge, i have to say that this song is not easy feat, and indeed, idealistic. Need i say more? 5/5

4. Dez Moines: If i could, i would call this song "the adventure". Jeremy's singing just leaves you hanging for more, but Mike's brutal highs and lows come in and you're left there mesmerized. This song is intense. 4.5/5

5. Big Wiggly Style: The three second orchestral part in the intro told me that this song would be magnificent, and i am not disappointed. Every member of the band puts their all in this song and indeed, it is magnificent. 5/5

6. Danger Wildman: I KNOW A GHOST! This scream in the intro left me headbanging and moshing in my room till the song ended. Fantastic song i have to say, the drums and vocals are the main stars of this brutal feast. 5/5

7. Ben Has A Kid: Daniel Williams, i have to say he has my vote for top drummer. His snare rolls really kicked me into the song and i am now a happy man. 4.5/5

8. Wapakalypse: Crazy title, crazy song. That is all i have to say folks. 4.5/5

9.Gimme Half: I love this song. The synth work by James really pulls any listener into some hell of a trance. Fantastic work by him i have to say that. This song is heavy as hell yet its just so good i cant stop listening to it. 5/5

10. Louder Than Thunder: Jeremy Deboyster, well he sure can sing alright. But dont neglect the work James has put in to make this song what it is, what a great, soothing song.

11.Lord Xenu: Listen to breakdown in the outro and you will be left there saying "HOLY SHIT". I bloody love this song. Once again, Mike's screams never fail to disappoint and everyone works really really well together. Amazing end to an amazing album. 7/5

The Devil Wears Prada, if you're a metalcore fan and haven't listen to them, you're probably living under a rock.
