I bought this album on the strengh of the last one, and found it to be much better. It's more subtle, and not as instant as 'Placebo', but the songs have a beauty of their own. The best songs on the album are the less 'rock' ones, in particular 'Ask For Answers' and 'My Sweet Prince'.However, the opening 'Pure Morning' is brilliant, providing a fantastic, recognisable song and setting the standard for the rest of the album. The artwork of the cd booklet is fab, although it would have benefitted from a lyric sheet, as sometimes the lyrics are indecipherable. That's probably the biggest critisism that can be made about the album. However, I think that people who are not fans of Placebo and Brian Molko's distinctive vocals would hate this and so should steer clear.
