A truly amazing debut album from the Phonics! Although this first album has only twelve tracks they are all very different and include, More Life in a Tramps Vest, A Thousand Trees and Local Boy In The Photograph, they are just a few of the great songs on Word Gets Around. Kelly Jones' has such a brilliant voice and if you've not seen Stereophonics live, you've gotta go and see them, they are class! Word Gets Around is the Phonics first album and is by far better than Performance and Coctails although it too is a great album. Compared to some bands Stereophonics songs don't all sound the same as Word Gets Around proves. If you are going to buy a Stereophonics album go for Word Gets Around rather than Perfromance and Cocktails as it is much better. Also the lyrics for all the songs are in the front cover, which is quite helpful if you are wanting to sing along as sometimes it is quite hard to work out what Kelly is sayin with his welsh accent!
