This Cd was recorded in 1997 not really that long ago it was the year that Hale Bop the comet was visible in Spain where Capercaile were resting after their Spanish tour. The sighting of Hale Bop influenced one of the tracks. Capercaile are vocals Karen Matheson, Charlie McKerron on fiddle, the band is Manus Lunny on bouzouki, acoustic guitar and backing vocals; John Saich on bass, acoustic guitar and backing ... ...is very restful with Karen’s beautiful voice, telling the story of a mother looking forward to her baby boy growing up and sailing to foreign countries bringing her exotic gifts, and her wish that tomorrow her hens will lay an egg for her son.

Advantages: Top quality Russian folk music Disadvantages: Lyrics will be hard for non Russian speakers to understand
...quite psychedelic. This album - Voice Letter is their only to date and was released in September 2007. This is an excellent band that are not particularly known in Russia nor even Germany outside of certain circles but are superb musicians none the less and have created an album full of gentle timeless tracks.
