Voices of the Valley, Fron Male Voice Choir
Review of Voices Of The Valley - Fron Male Voice Choir by red-head

Advantages: Excellent Choice of Songs
Disadvantages: None

This CD is excellent. I have always been a fan of Male Voice choirs (not just because I'm welsh) because the overall harmony is gorgeous!! I saw this CD advertised recently on the TV and my parents bought it for me. I was not disappointed. There is an excellent selection on traditional welsh ballads with past pop hits etc. People often mistake Male Voice Choirs as just a 'Welsh Thing' that they won't nessarily enjoy, I think they would be pleasently ...
...20, not many of the younger generation appreciate music different to hip-pop, punk-rock or rap but as I was brought up surrounded by jazz, classical, brass etc, I have a much wider taste, thankfully. This is a CD that I play quite often and enjoy every time. The Tracks on this CD: 1) Sailing 2) Abide With Me 3) Jerusalem 4) Land Of My Fathers 5) Danny Boy 6) Unchained Melody 7) You Raise Me Up 8) Shenandoah 9) You'll Never Walk Alone 10) All Through ... Look what i found in my Dreamcatcher
Review of Dreamcatcher - Secret Garden by RainbowDiva2000

Advantages: wonderful songs
Disadvantages: none really

...instrumental song. ~~~~~ Dreamcatcher is a 18 track "Best Of" album released in 2000 and created especially for the UK market to bring us up-to-date with Secret Garden's previous albums: White Stones, Songs From A Secret Garden and Dawn Of A New Century. Just a note: Normally I would not add lyrics to my music reviews, but because not all the songs have lyrics and for the ones that do, they aren't very long at all. I thought it would create a more ...
...~~~~~ Track 4 - Dreamcatcher 4.35 (taken from the album Dawn Of A New Century) The song starts and ends with the short lyrics written by Nikki Matheson who provided backing vocals in the second track "Prayer". Hear my silent prayer Heed my quiet call When the dark and blue surround you Step into my sigh Look inside the light You will know that I have found you As with the other songs on this album it is a calming song but thanks to the talents ... Don't Escape this!
Review of Escape - Enrique Iglesias by Bouncebackability

Advantages: Brilliant combination of tunes, from up-beat to ballads.
Disadvantages: None at all.

...can hide but you can't escape my love". Run Anna, Run I think there's a stalker after you. Run back to Sweden, leaving Enrique behind! (Please) 2. Don't Turn Off The Lights This is one of my favourite songs of the album. It's another up-tempo song , which begins slow but then a beat kicks in with a very catchy chorus. The electric guitar is used to full effects in this song, and includes Enrique singing Soprano-high vocals. 3. Love To See You ...
...the others. It's not quite as cruel as the title may seem. But suprisingly he "loves to see you cry" and he doesn't know why, but it "makes him feel alive". This was also released as a single and the video features Enrique wearing an unusual dressing gown/hoodie! 4.Hero If you haven't heard this song, you must have been in mars for a few years. This was Enrique's biggest succes single, when it was released in 2001, in the UK, and is still a classic. ... Read review

Roby Lakatos and his Ensemble
Review of Lakatos - Roby Lakatos & His Ensemble by gregorg

Advantages: Awesome playing and musicianship. Easy listening.
Disadvantages: Perhaps not for the 'purist' folk music lover.

...this, their first CD, Roby Lakatos (violin) and his Ensemble (consisting of piano, guitar, cymbalon, double bass, and another violin) take their listeners on an exhilarating journey through a variety of gypsy-inspired musical styles. Their flair, charm and sensitive musicianship are apparent from the first note to the last. Described as the ‘nonconformist of the violin’, Roby Lakatos was born into a family of Hungarian gypsy violin traditions dating ...
...in every sense however, he has taken these traditions and moulded them to achieve his own unique musical voice. The incorporation of a guitar and piano into his gypsy ensemble for instance, are certainly not typical instruments of this genre. This CD, entitled simply ‘Lakatos’, consists of 13 tracks (see below for track listing). There is something for everyone here, with some tracks being traditional Hungarian folksongs, some Lakatos’ own compositions, ... Read review
