World Playground Vol.2 - Various Artists

Being a teacher of pre-school children I think it is essential to try and open little minds to as many new and wonderful things as possible and that is why I bought this CD. It is a collection of 12 'childrens songs' from around the world.

I bought an album from 'Putumayo' for myself a couple of years ago (with Brazilian music) and thought that it was wonderful. I had never heard any of the tracks before but that did not matter as ...
...about this album. Of course the children will not understand the words but it is so important to at least let them hear different musical styles from around the world.

So why is it good? Well apart from the reason mentioned above all of the tunes are easy to listen to for both adults as well as children. They are also fun which is a very important element when you are trying to get little ones interested.

Of course the children will not understand the words but it is so important to at least let them hear different musical styles from around the world.

So why is it good? Well apart from the reason mentioned above all of the tunes are easy to listen to for both adults as well as children. They are also fun which is a very important element when you are trying to get little ones interested.

I am sorry I cannot tell you any more details about the songs as I do not know myself but track 3 is a really great one. Sometimes you just have to go for something and I would say that about buying this title.
