Advantages: Some good songs Disadvantages: Some bad songs
You Raise Me Up 2008 is the newest addition to my CD collection. After having seen this advertised on the TV I thought it sounded good as there were a lot of song featured which I like.
The cover of the CD is white and has 3 small pictures showing mothers with their children and the title in purple letters above and then in silver lettering it says that there are 40 uplifting songs on the CD's. The back cover contains the track list for both CD's and also the production info. Inside the CD there is a small booklet which again contains the track lists and the artists.
CD 1
There are 20 songs on the first CD which is a silver colour. The songs and my opinion on them are:-
1. You Raise Me Up - This version is sung by Secret Garden, it is a nice ballad but to me Westlife to sing this much better and this version seems to be ...
Advantages: Loads of Phil Collins songs Disadvantages: Loads of Phil Collins songs messed up
. Add a few scratches and a rap and you have this
Gotta Hold Over Me - Coko. Poor song. In my opinion Coko isnt the most gifted singer and you can tell on this track. Not one of Phils greatest and not one of Coko's either
I Dont Care Anymore - Kelis. Produced by the Neptunes, this is a harsh track with an 'I Hate You So Much Right Now' shouty feel to it. You would either love or hate this
Cant Turn Back The Years - Joe. Not to disimilar to the original and it works. The best track on the album, Joes voices gives this tune so much credit. It really does work. Quality
Do You Remember - Debelah Morgan. Poor again, she has a good voice and it comes through but the production is not great and its a big let down
Against All Odds - Montell Jordan. This is worse than the Westlife version. Its just not very good
One More NIght ...
Advantages: Lots of time saving tips for organising a household Disadvantages: Some of the tips aren't relevant to me
't take me long to complete the first reading, mainly because the author's writing and experiences were easy for me to understand and relate to and I actually found that a lot of the book was relevant to me. The author's description of facing the realities of parenting compared to totally unrealistic fantasies of being a Mum, rang so many bells for me. That's not to say that this is a depressing account of parenting at all, just that the book understands how time consuming and absorbing the whole status of being a parent and trying to keep on top of things can be. The introduction describes this book as a collection of shortcuts, which is a fairly accurate description having now read the whole book. Cutting corners is just my sort of approach to housework so I felt right at home with this book. The end result of these time saving and efficiency ...
