...review, Nelly has decided to cash in on his incredible mainstream success with teenage girls and released 2 separate albums on the same day, for an incredibly inflated price, as two halves of one whole double album. Perhaps if somebody with proven ability did the same, then we'd get our money's worth. But let's be honest here, how in the hell can somebody like Nelly, who is as good a rapper as I am an ass-kisser, release a double album and expect anybody with an IQ over 30 to buy into his nonsense? Well he did, with SweatSuit. Suit is the second half of the two-disc journey through intense torture that one Cornell Haynes insists on putting us through. Advantages: Sparkling debut from Winehouse
Disadvantages: One or two weaker links, but nothing drastic

...It's hard to believe that a few years ago, Amy Winehouse was known more for her attitude-filled jazzy music than for her drug and drink problems. Frank was her first album, which I really loved. I've only just dug it back out and I was suprised by how witty, clever and talented Amy used to be before drugs got to her. Frank opens with "Stronger Than Me", a scathing song directed at a boyfriend. Amy throws insults at him in a witty and unforgiving fashion, questioning his manhood and sexuality, spelling out in no uncertain terms that she doesn't view theirs as a serious relationship. Amy makes it clear that she is a talented lyricist by making the focus of this album the frank and honest lyrics rather than the subdued jazz accompaniments.
