Album Notes: Big Boys: Randy \"Biscuit\" Turner (vocals, guitar); Tim Kerr (guitar, background vocals); Chris gates (bass, background vocals); Rey Washam (drums).
Advantages: Some good hits and very reasonably priced Disadvantages: May not be to everyone's taste
...I'm not a huge fan of Roy Orbison but I enjoyed some of this album more than I thought I would when I was given it. It is a whopping boxed set collection, which apparently costs a very reasonable £13 for 3 CDs. The cover, as you can probably see, has an old picture of Roy and his signature on the front.
Orbison had his biggest hits in the 1960s but this collection pretty much spans his career. He concentrated on country style music in the 1970s and towards the 1980s, his revival came off the back of film soundtracks such as "Blue Velvet" and of course "Pretty Woman". His most famous tracks are "Only The Lonely" and "Oh, Pretty Woman". That second track probably has one...

Advantages: Very original Disadvantages: Sometimes production doesn't quite work

I didn't really care for the backstory, so it had no influence on my opinion on this track, I felt that Wiley and Dizzee Rascal worked off each other well here, and they made for a great Grime tune with suitable beats, but not going too deep into something that most people wouldn't understand other than those from in London.

Dizzee's off-beat style doesn't really make sense on this beat because the sample is the ideal rhythm setter, and he doesn't use it to his advantage for rapping. However...

Advantages: 38 songs from a brilliant band, cultured songs ,great lyrics Disadvantages: a few weaker numbers
...It is hard to believe that this classic definitive collection has not been reviewed on here so please allow me the indulgence. For anyone who has never heard of Prefab Sprout this is the album to start with.Anyone who had the vinyl of the early albums again this is the cd to get to protect or to replace them.
So who were Prefab Sprout?
They were from Newcastle and were not really part of a any specific scene, nor were they easy to stereotype throughout theie career. They were a four piece comprising the McAloon brothers Paddy(singer /songwriter) and Martin(Guitars) Neil Conti(Bass) and Wendy Smith(keyboard and vocals). And they were a band that wrote exquisite songs and to top it could play live.
This album gives us 38 of their hits and best songs, as we know not always the same thing.I am going to briefly...
