I asked my father what he would like for Christmas and the first thing he said was "The Destiny's Child Album- The Writing's On The Wall" Well, not only was I shocked at him knowing the title of the album, but also his sudden change in musical preferance! He's an old rocker usually listening to the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. You can imagine how completely shocked I was! LOL :)

Anyway, onto the review...

I bought this album at Notting Hill Market for £10 which was a great start. The album was the recent special edition containing two CD's, the bonus CD including the very latest single, "Independant Woman," which features on the 'Charlies Angel's soundtrack"

Now, before wrapping the CD and giving it to Dad, I (obviously) recorded me a copy to see what it was all about. I've heard a few of their songs before, but wouldn't even consider going out and buying the album, but after listening to the CD a few times, 'Destiny's Child' were really starting to grow on me, in a very big way. I got to the stage that I couldn't stop playing the CD, listening to it mirning day and night. Taking it to college with me and so on...

So, when the time came to give Dad his present, I was starting to not enjoy the idea of loosing the original CD and was considering to give him the one I copied for myself! :) But, i'm not cruel like that, i gave him the CD and he loved it. It feels wierdhearing your dad singing along to Destiny's Child! Believe me. He absolutely loved the album, is favorite track was "Say My Name"

I would completely recommend this album to anyone with a good taste in music. If you've heard a few of their songs on the radio and thought they were good, then this album will highly impress you.

Destiny's Child really are one of the hardest working R&B groups around, various changes have occured since the group very first started, there used to be four members of the band, and has now been reduced to three, but the quality of the music has now, however decreased, if anything, it has increased. The group have become closer and stronger as a trio.
