Advantages: Classic Wu-Tang Album, Great Music Disadvantages: Took 3 Years To Make, A Couple Of Weak Tracks, Gets Outdated To Quick
...I was just thinking to myself doesn't time fly when your having fun, but then I realized I'm bored as hell and I'm talking bollocks as usual. Since my Exams Results I have been waiting and waiting for college to start. During this period I have been listening to a lot of music and one album that came into my music loving grasp, was that of the Wu-Tang Clan and there 2000 release - The W.
As I had played all my other CD's out I decided to give this album another go and I'm glad I did. I remembered why I bought this album in the first place and why it was top of my collection for a long time. The Wu-Tang Clan have released 4 albums to date including many Killa Bee's albums that have been released. The W is there secong recent album, there most recent being the 2001 release, Iron Flag. Advantages: Raw Style Rapping, Great Price, Made Careers Disadvantages: The Shaolin Sword Side Could Have Been Improved
...The year of 1993 was a big step for all fans of music influential rappers like N.W.A. and public enemy come to a holt and it was up to someone to fill the void. West Coast G-Funk was filling the spot with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg ruling the Hip-Hop charts people wanted something more gritty and Underground. Step forward The Wu-Tang Clan armed with street style rapping and catchy beats Wu-Tang made the rap scene back to the street.
The Wu-Tang Clan consists of then 8 members RZA, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Raekwon and perhaps there most famous and influential member Method Man. This group like many before started of underground and then attracted attention. For a mere £10.99 pence in HMV (or I have seen it for next to nothing on eBay) and £8.75 pence from CD WOW, I feel it is worth every penny. Usually this sort of album comes out at a lot more. This album has now been out since 2003 but is still as original now as it was then.
The album cover itself looks pretty cool with Rza's face close up in different shades of blue and white. The pupils of Rza's eyes are replaced with the infamous wu-tang logo (which is that of a bat like 'W'). Unusually in hip hop CD's this one actually has the lyrics printed out for each song.
