Yes parachutes is amazing, yes rush of blood to the head is even better! and then there was x & y! When coldplay famously disappeared after rush of blood tour- promising that they would not return in the same style? They lied. They must have sat around drinking herbal tea watching their bank accounts get fatter. They then thought bloody hell it has been a while so we better get an album together. They got together in a non rock and roll way and made the worst album possible to follow rush of blood.
What on earth happened to the voice? Chris Martins ego has grown to such an extent that he thinks he is one of the best live acts around! Yes they are good I have seen them, but when you attempt to sing every song as high as possible (allot in x &y) it sometimes (when live) sounds like a cat in severe pain trying to hold a tune. The songs are not consistent and have no longevity. I could listen to rush of blood happily start to finish- the new album is a TRACK SKIPPER.
The whole ego thing has put me off the band in a big way and I think this comes across in the attitude of the album. I don't know them personally of course but I hope the next album is something to cherish. I also hope that they got back to basics and stir it up a little, because the basic songs from coldplay are the best. Have listened to X & Y a number of times and It is safe to say I never will again. Waste of hard earned money.

Review of X And Y - Coldplay
Advantages: Accoustic harmonies and easy to listen to songs.Sincere and heartfelt lyrics. A really nice album. Disadvantages: I didnt like it as much as X&Y or A Sudden Rush of Blood to the Head.
