pop-soaked R&B: raunchy but in a child-friendly format. Liberty X have matured into a major-league pop act and their sound has not yet become jaded, unlike so many bands on the same circuit. There is little here that stands out as amazing but by the same token there is nothing that stands out as bad. The album opens with a short musical skit bigging them up and continues with the first two singles, "Jumpin'" and "Being Nobody". These are clearly standouts, but the rest of the songs still hold their own. With the UK charts currently being dominated by US pop-R&B, the influences on here couldn't be more apparent and nowhere more so than on "Whatcha Doin' Tonight", a funky electro-rock/hip-hop number in a frighteningly similar vein to Christina Aguilera's "Dirrrty". Being Somebody is a decent collection of songs with good production but Liberty X are still a long way off their US counterparts. --Steve Beefmark

released two albums and are already yesterdays chip paper it would have been a very appropriate title. The delay was in legal wrangles over their name but with all that behind them, and a shiny "X" appended to their moniker, they can unleash their poppy brand of US-styled R&B and UK two-step. Apart from the title track which was co-written by Pete from Artful Dodger, the big single has to be "Just A Little"; slinky, sexy with an acoustic punch courtesy of producers Big Pockets and Brad Gilderman, (Destinys, Jay-Z). With UK R&B still not receiving the attention of its peers in the US, there is a need to go poppy in order to get any airplay. It works for Mis-teeq and Blue but to be extra safe, for much of their material Liberty X distance themselves from their UK roots, yet still squeeze the cheese, leaving them with a pop sound somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic. Although three singles have already been lifted from it there are still a few more potentials such as "No Clouds", a homage to feeling good on a sunny day complete with rap interlude and S Club-esque chorus or for when the season dictates a ballad, "Holding On for You" has all the key elements for across-the-board appeal. As with a lot of pop albums, many of the songs are mere fillers but what sets Thinking It Over apart is that even the weak songs sound different to the one before so it never gets too tedious. Definitely worth the wait.--Georgina Collins

Advantages: Great Songs...Great Lyrics...Great Beats... Disadvantages: None...
This album, in my opinion, is the best album release from Liberty X.
Song 4 Lovers...From the first time i heard this track, I loved it. I love the whole sound, the lyrics, the beat and the amazing Gospel choir that feature.
It's Ok...Not really one of the best tracks from the album, although i do like it. I just think that compared to the rest of the tracks, it is slightly weak.
Dirty cash...Really like ... ...done it very well, i love it.
Then There Was You...A great ballad, and my fave track on this album. Shows they're great vocals, very soft and ful of emotion. Has me singing along to it everytime.
Move Ya Body...It's a great dancehall song. Will definately get you moving your body.
Shotgun...Is again, another dancehall track. Not one of my faves again, not really a fan of.

Yo DJ...Once again, not a track i am very into but does have a great beat.
In My Bed...I really like this song, it's great, has a good beat to it, an uptempo track but one you will also just be able to chill to.
X...The title track to this album. It's great, my fave upbeat song on this album. Has me dancing and singing everytime. I LOVE IT. Very different to anything i have heard before, it is a definate stand out track on this album.
Divine Intervention...I first heard this song sung by the Backstreet Boys. I like both versions. It's a good song, a good calming beat.
and the next 4 tracks are all from previous album releases so i'm sure you will have all heard them, so i will not comment on them...
Being Nobody Got 2 Have Your Love Holding On For You Just A Little
Advantages: All the most recent tunes Disadvantages: May get shoved to the back of the shelf when the newer edition is released
for money considering that there are two CDs each with roughly 20 songs on. CD one tends to have a few more songs on it that CD two - I have no idea why they do this but it happens. The booklet inside the CD contains pictures of each musician and details about the song featured on the CD for example it will list when the song was in the charts and what album it was taken from, I find this very informative and often find myself looking through the pictures.
The tracklist for Now 54 is as follows:
~*~CD ONE~*~
1)Tatu - All the things she said
2)Justin Timberlake - Like I love you
3)Nelly feat Kelly Rowland - Dilemna
4)Richard X vs LibertyX - Being Nobody
5)Room 5 feat Oliver Cheatham - Make Luv
6)Junior Senior - Move ya feet
7)Girls Aloud - Sound of the underground
8)Busted - Year 3000
9)Melanie C - Here it comes again
10)Sinead ...
Advantages: Some great songs, 42 tracks, less dance tracks! Disadvantages: Some awful songs...
of the acts featured – LibertyX, Girls Aloud, Sinead Quinn, Darius, Zoë Birkett, One True Voice, Kym Marsh and Ainslie Henderson. Whether this is a good thing and gives talent a chance to shine (my view) or whether this shows the sorry state of today’s pop music is a matter for debate.
However, this does not mean the ‘skip’ button remains redundant for the whole of CD 1. I can’t stand Nelly and his duet with Kelly Rowland (Dilemma) must be a contender for the Song You Hate But Can’t Help Singing award. I also hate Busted as much as my daughters love them, so Year 3000 is not a song that gets played near me, if I have anything to do with it. Jay-Z and Beyonce’s ’03 Bonnie and Clyde is also one to avoid, I find.
In the ‘fair to middling’ range, we have Appleton, Justin Timberlake ...
Advantages: Varied tracks more of a rnb feel Disadvantages: a couple of weak tracks
Looking out or 'THINKING IT OVER' by LibertyX? Well the cover has a picture of the band on the front with libertyx and thinking it over written underneath. I purchased my copy from WH Smith and was in the sale for a bargin price of £4.99...woolworths currently have it on offer also for £6.99. Inside of the booklet is mainly a picture of each member on each page and details regarding the tracks and of course thank yous. Onto the tracks:
THINKING IT OVER
The first single to be released from the pop stars loosers. Starts off nice and slow opening with guitar. This song is actually quite catchy upbeat song which great lyrics which their voices suit just perfectly.
JUST A LITTLE
This single I think really pushed LibertyX into the limelight, a very catchy song which made a big impact on the charts. Obviously, this song is ...
