Advantages: Looks Well, Decent combat System Disadvantages: Gets Old, Fast
When reviewing games based on movies, it's always a good idea to picture an absolutely abysmal game, and then expect less. This way you wont be inevitably disappointed by the poor graphics, shallow gameplay and clunky controls. History has taught us, apart from a few exceptions, that movie tie-in games are generally rushed together and basically unfinished to meet the release date of the film. So when reviewing X-MenOrigins: Wolverine I am at the bottom of the barrel, expecting the worst of the worst, because once again a game has been released to coincide with the movie release, and that spells bad news. But at the same time, I'm slightly comforted by the fact that Raven Software have developed the majority of the game, and they have brought us a selection of great games in the past including the Star Wars: Jedi Knight series and the X-Men ...
Advantages: Fantastic Action and you understrand the storyline immeditatly Disadvantages: GIVE ME MOREEEEEEEEEE ;)
X-MenOrigins: Wolverine is yet another film of the Marvel film franchise. X-Men of course has become popular in film and in Animated series. This film pretty much pushes limits to the top, as this is a fantastic film to start a wolverine series on.
In the 19th century, a boy named James is very ill in bed. He is accompanied by his friend, Victor. As his father comes up stairs to see how James is doing, Victor's father bangs on the front door. As James' father goes to see to him, gun shots can be heard a few seconds later. James runs out of the room, to see his father dead on the floor. Advantages: Fast Paced Comic Book Action, Some Fun Mutants Disadvantages: Film Seems To Be Made Only To Clear up Questions From Previous Films
I don't see why Marvel decided to start their Origins series with Wolverine, sure he's probably the most popular X-Men character but he's also the character that we already know the most about. Featuring heavily in the film a lot of Wolverines background was already revealed to us during the second instalment of the X-Men films, so to me it would have made a little more sense to choose a character of whose background we know very little or nothing about. I have read the next Origins film will be Magneto, which I believe should be the first and we know very little of him. Nonetheless, WolverineOrigins is still an enjoyable film.
The introduction to the film shows how Wolverine and Sabertooth came about, showing how they ran away from home at a young age after murdering their father and eventually showing every war they have fought in ...
