Great recorder for simpletons like me

Advantages: Easy to use. Recordings automatically start at the right time.
Disadvantages: Can't watch one channel and record another.

If you are a video technology wizard then this review is not for you because I have no idea about all the more advanced features. If you are an ordinary human being who just wants something simple to record programs so that you can watch them later then read on... With my last recorder (VCR with tapes) I often missed programs. I mean I KNOW I set the video and I thought I did it carefully but I guess I made a mistake somewhere and it recorded the wrong thing. This just hasn't happened with the Sony and I've had it for about ten weeks now. The on-screen menus are so straightforward that even I can't get it wrong. Another thing I like about it is that it seems to start the recording at the exact right moment, even if the program starts a bit late. Girls Aloud are a British girlband consisting of five members ; Nadine Coyle , Cheryl Cole , Sarah Harding , Nicola Roberts and Kimberly Walsh. Girls Aloud were formed on the reality television show ; Popstars The Rivals in 2002. Since then they have become a huge success. To date they have had eighteen top ten singles , including three number ones. Their style of music consists of pop and electro pop. Girls Aloud : Off The Record was actually a six-part series that Girls Aloud recorded for E4. The series was then released on DVD in the United Kingdom in 2006. The show comes under the reality-tv genre. The show follows Girls Aloud on their day to day life as part of one of Britian's top girl bands.. As many of you know, I am studying Speech and Language Sciences at Newcastle University. As part of the course we have to do a child study and record a language sample from the child. Our lecturer recommended that we should get our own voice recorder as the university has a limited number for loan and we will need it for other assignments too (including a phonetics assignment we are currently working on) I decided to buy one as I also use a voice recorder to record my lecture notes to listen to when I'm going to sleep.
