Yellowman's debut album

Advantages: Classic yellowman
Disadvantages: One or two songs which aren't amazing

Mister Yellowman by albino Jamaican reggae artist Yellowman is a pure classic, the guy's first album - originally released in 1982, it's full of legendary ragga/dancehall tracks. Yellowman has a style of singing that is extremely chilled out, the closest in style is possibly Dillinger. Whilst the guy uses quite a lot of fillers for instance boom boom clack in Duppy or Gunman, he also uses plenty of strong lyrics in each track - in this case "gunshot respect no one", in fact that's no where near one of the best songs on the album. That honour doesn't go to the "love song" - Morning Ride either as it's a little bit too long, nor the unbelievably catchy Mr.Chin but it has to be "Getting Married" - Yellowman really seems in a world of his own as he does impersonations of the the woman and man. It's highly entertaining, well made ...

Review of Look How Me Sexy - Yellowman

One of Shoegazing Indie's finest moments

Advantages: A classic CD that should be of interest to today's Indie kids
Disadvantages: A bit of a specialist taste

and drums, then a little bit of guitar riffing, then more riffing and then Mark is off, "Never been so far away", followed by much driving bass and laid back drumming. Sad to say I have the original CD so I can't comment on the bonus tracks from the 2001 version - sorry folks! TRACK LISTING 1. "Leave Them All Behind" 2. "Twisterella" 3. "Not Fazed" 4. "Chrome Waves" 5. "Mouse Trap" 6. "Time Of Her Time" 7. "Cool Your Boots" 8. "Making Judy Smile" 9. "Time Machine" 10. "OX4" The album was re-released on 24 September 2001 and featured the following bonus tracks taken from the "Leave Them All Behind" (track 4) and "Twisterella" (tracks 1-3) singles: 1. "Going Blank Again" 2. "Howard Hughes" 3. "Stampede" 4. "Grasshopper" RIDE'S LEGACY Anyone who goes "ahh-ahh-ahh" for a start. The feedback ...
