Advantages: Steven Tyler's voice really shines on some of these tracks Disadvantages: The absence of Joe Perry and Brad Whitford
...Yes the reviews were bad, Yes Joe Perry and Brad Whitford weren't in for this one but forget this for a moment; this album rocks charmingly. The volume and tempo are cranked up for fast paced rock like JAILBAIT and LIGHTNING STRIKES and then taken down and dirty for BOLIVIAN RAGAMUFFIN which has addictive rhythmic lyrics. Whilst CRY ME A RIVER is a cover and was put on because Steven had run out of lyrics, its heart wrenching delivery is beautifully moody and shouldnt be overlooked. The organic folk like quality of JOANIES BUTTERFLY seems almost reminisent of an earlier decade and provide a complimentary contrast to the heavier tracks on the album. The psychedelic PRELUDE TO JOANIE previous to this track creates the same effect that is seen of the intros on the album Pump. JIG IS UP AND ROCK IN A HARD PLACE are memorable energetic rhythm...

...Having recently acquired this album via import, i have to say i believe it to be one of the most groundbreaking mind expanding albums of the last decade.
Dj Shadow, a world-renowned ambient chills DJ, doesnt fail to deliver the goods on this album.
Weather from the totally devastating yet calm "what does your soul look like? (part 2)" to the beat filled "High Noon" to the jumpy organ pumping "Organ Donor" DJ Shadow entices the listener, creating an aura of calm and although only tempoary, he contributes to an enormous sense of inner peace. So its great hey???
Well Yes is the simple answer. Perhaps the only downfall to this fantastic album is you may encounter some minor difficulties tracking it down, depending upon your location. I purchased it online through amazon, and it delivered in about a week and a half.
This is a great album...

...I am a new fan of dragonforce this being the first album that i have bought and heard of them. They were recommended to me by a friend and i have to say i really like them. There songs are very long and almost have a video game influence to them which i particulary like. There long guitar solo's are great, and have to say they must be the quickest guitar players i have ever heard. Though i think most of this speed comes from the drummer who is playing like a maniac.
I would definetly recommend you buy this album and i particulary injoyed it. The CD is also rather cheap i manged to pick one up i HMV for £4.99 which i was very pleased with! yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes!
My favorite track on the album has to be by far "through the fire and flames" i love the long guitar solo's and computer game influence.
The band is not that well...
