The Fat Boy may have disappeared from view lately (mainly cos he’s not getting all that free press on the Radio 1 breakfast show anymore) but his music lives on. In my opinion this album is definitely one for the must have section and absolutely essential living for anyone who’s a fan of last years acoustic dance theme.
Ok so lets face it the album got played to death on it’s release and the repetition of some of the tunes can get stuck in your head with an almost un-paralleled level of annoyance but that’s the beauty of Fat boy’s magic. He’s turned the hook from being the banal add on to a teen pop groups chorus into an essential part of urban living. The album really does deserve revisiting and given that there have been few albums in its genre to compare with recently it’s a refreshing and welcome break from the teenage schoolgirl hordes of the moment!
Bring us another summer vibe fat boy!!
