In many ways the 1980s is synonymous with the advent of the compilation album, and in particular the Now That's What I Call Music series, and it is only fitting that this album is produced to such a high standard. My only real criticism of the album is that a number of individuals and bands who significantly influenced the 80's music scene such as Michael Jackson (whatever your opinion of him as an individual), Madonna, Wham and Culture Club to name but a few are not included. Notwithstanding that, there are a wide selection of hits covering the full decade which were pretty much all huge hits in their own right. ...- KAYNE WEST "I need you to hurry up now, cause I can't wait much longer" Stronger starts off with a punk style intro, this song is a rap song with a mid beat tempo, and has few fu*k and sh%t words in the chorus, this isnt really my kind of song because im not a fan of rap music. This version of stronger was a Daft Punk song before kayne Wset re-released it. (0/5) 07 ~ HOT STUFF - CRAIG DAVID "But if your feeling the groove, You know what you gotta do" This is a fairly upbeat song with a good beat,halfway through the song it reminds me of "lets Dance by the pop group 5ive" Its a good song and Craig David has a great voice. ...Picture the scene, you're at a bangin' (truly bangin' party), movin to the hotel lobby (as R Kelly + chums would do), what song is the crowd dancing to? It has to be...Ignition! The ultimate floorfiller, well in my opinion, then you've got the sexy slick Snake to slither around the dancefloor to, or the ballad The World's Greatest to slow down the tempo to continue the party all through the night with the fellas on ma left, honeys on ma right....you know how the song goes. When I purchased R Kelly - The R In RnB Greatest Hits Collection 1 I expected a CD filled with ballads, floorfillers, to midtempo slick grooves. What did I get? The guaranteed ignition and a bunch of ballads - OK so I love R Kelly and love ballads, great for an allnighter with your partner, but as for this great CD I could take to a friend's house party, well...
