Your 101 All Time Favourite TV Themes - Various Artists

Advantages: Some amazing songs
Disadvantages: A few not so good ones, hard to get hold of

...have children, some will be nearing 100 years old, what other songs from so far back have such timelessness? In days where children's TV has got diabolically patronising, and the music they listen to equally so, a record like this can still be enjoyed, and it is certainly something I will be keeping a copy of for when I have my own. The tracks speak to generations, there aren't any songs which someone in the family wouldn't like, and myself and my brothers and sister all have different favourites, and my Mum seems to really like Arthur Askey's "The Bee Song". If you have children of your own, or just still haven't grown up, then if you haven't got this album I suggest you hunt yourself out a copy, they occasionally come up on eBay and go for anywhere from £5-£20 on record, and considerably more for an original CD. Advantages: Loads of awesome tracks
Disadvantages: Very minor but case design is fairly poor

...This is the first Dance compilation CD that i have ever bought and i was not dissapointed and anyone wanting to buy it should also not be. At 60 tracks long there are pleanty of tracks to interest anyone one who enjoys awesome dance tunes that have either been in the top 10 or are by well known artists. Some of the best known tracks are; Shaaam-PATT, Fedde Le Grande -Put your hands up (reached #1 5th November 2006) and too many other well known past and present tracksto list them all. Another good addition is that on CD1 there is bonus content including the Chacarron video and other bonus material. Even though this can only be accessed through the internet it gives you more for your money (can only be good). The final good thing about this album is that unlike some other dance albums i have heard the tracks are not mixed... Read review

Advantages: none for me
Disadvantages: no really well known songs

..., in fact I would much rather listen to Under the Sea as for me at least it is a better song overall. Following this is Catch a Wave another Beach Boys style offering with the vocal harmonies and beat, yet again this offers nothing that for me makes this worth listening to, the best part of this is the intro as it features a section of dialogue from the movie. Octopus Garden the next track sounds again like something familiar but I cant quite put my finger on it and to be honest has made me wonder if this is a collection of better known favourites that Disney has bought rights to and then had artists do covers of for this compliation if thats the case then Disney you have no doubt ruined a set of very good songs with this CD, certainly the final track Under the Sea has been covered many times but I have never heard it done in a way that has...
