Advantages: great big band music Disadvantages: none
...Vay is my father, however, if you love Big Band music or love the Glenn Miller Orchestra then this is a must night out. If you are into Glenn Miller fully, then they also have open air concerts, where many come dressed up in WW2 clothing and dance to the music all day long. Ray McVay also tells the audience about Glenn Miller, the music and how the songs originated, therefore making these concerts great for those who have an interest in music, those who just want to learn or those who just love the music. I do find however these concerts are not very good for the very young children as they can get bored, however, my children love to watch the band and have done since they were 6 years old....

Advantages: fantastically refreshing Disadvantages: wrong track to end on
...'s a section when you can tell they're all at a ball, because the music goes into this lovely waltz. I also love the playful banter between the two greats. :

Advantages: Great sound and a few truly wonderful songs Disadvantages: Several of the tracks are disappointing, and you miss the dancing!
.... The orchestra take over the melody from the star, sounding wonderfully lush, with far more personnel than you get on some more recent recordings.
After this comes 'Getting Out of Town', a plot number, which always catches me out as I listen, contrasted as it is with pleasant, but merely decorative songs. The whole company gets involved here, making it an exciting track, but still not a thrilling one. But the thrills are almost here. The next track is one of the show's most familiar tunes, 'We're in the Money', performed largely by the female ensemble. The tempo is most definitely up, the spirits are high, and more engagingly so than in 'Go Into Your Dance'. Inevitable taps dominate the second half of the track, but as the orchestra is prominent in the mix, this isn't much of a problem.
'Who writes the words and music for all the girlie...
