Sound of a Revolution
Review of Arcade Perfect - Sonic Boom Six by RazzaLazza

Advantages: Fantastic dual vocals throughout the album, eclectic and effective mash-up of genres.
Disadvantages: May be a little too much going on in one album for some.

Sonic Boom Six are a band that have driven through from the underground; their journey began in Manchester in the April 2002, and they finally released their début album 'The Ruff Guide to Genre-Terrorism' in July 2006. Having gotten their début out of the way after four years, they are now onto their second studio album and it was in fact released in November 2007 through Rebel Alliance Recordings. Sonic Boom Six have come a long way as a band over ...
...to that fact. Combining elements of Reggae, Punk, and Hip-Hop - the music of Sonic Boom Six is a concoction that has to be heard to be believed. Add to that mix the energy of Jungle and the essence of Ska, then you'll come somewhere close to the sound of Sonic Boom Six. It shouldn't work, yet somehow it does and the band mix the sounds perfectly in order to provide an innovative sound which is very much their own. Sonic Boom Six are a band that ... Read review

Review of Hot Damn - Every Time I Die by RazzaLazza

Advantages: An excellent album which blends brilliantly the genres of hardcore punk and metalcore.
Disadvantages: 7 minutes shorter than the bands first album.

'Hot Damn!' is the first album that I ever heard by Every Time I Die, it was released in July 2003 through Ferret Records and is the bands second studio album. 'Hot Damn!' followed on nicely from the release of the bands debut 'Last Night In Town'; there was a two year gap between these two albums and when the band came back with this album it was once more looking to rock. Just as with the bands debut album, 'Hot Damn!' consists of ten tracks and ...
...7 minutes shorter than its predecessor. This second album from the band may be more condensed than the first, this is certainly not something that has detracted away from the overall quality of the music however and always here the bands sound is highly impressive throughout the 27 minute stint of this album. Beginning with 'Romeo A Go Go'; this album is incredibly high quality right from the offset, and from start to finish the music created by ... Read review

Punch-Drunk Punk Rock Romance
Review of Last Night In Town - Every Time I Die by RazzaLazza

Advantages: An incredible album of metalcore, fine vocal and instrumental work.
Disadvantages: Complex song structures may put some listeners off.

'Last Night In Town' is the debut album from the New York metalcore crew that is Every Time I Die. The band consists of five members and this debut album originally saw its release through Ferret Records in 2001. The album is ten tracks long and consists of 34 minutes of music; it's a fine display of metalcore and an album that I personally am hugely fond of. The vocals vary greatly here from the most melodic of sound to a high-pitched scream of ...
...entirety of this album and instrumentally also the music has much to offer here. I actually discovered Every Time I Die in 2003 when the band released its 'Hot Damn!' second album; another album that I can't get enough of, immediately I wanted to hear other material by the band and therefore this 'Last Night In Town' album quickly found its way into my record collection. I'm not the biggest fan of metalcore, I do however absolutely love the Every ... Read review

Guitarred And Feathered
Review of Gutter Phenomenon - Every Time I Die by RazzaLazza

Advantages: A perfect 34 minutes of music, vocally exceptional and highly instrumentally entertaining.
Disadvantages: I fail to think of any.

'Gutter Phenomenon' is the third album from Every Time I Die, an album which was originally released through Ferret Records in August 2005. The band broke with convention for this album, for the first time in its career eleven tracks were included on a studio release rather than the standard ten which had been present on the bands first two album releases. 34 minutes of music are included on this album; it's a fine album from the band and is I feel ...
...released as a band. From opening track 'Apocalypse Now And Then' right through to the classic closer 'Pretty Dirty' the music is highly impressive here, both of these tracks are in fact two of my absolute favourites from this album and I love them both equally. Opening/closing tracks are very important to me when it comes to albums, and in this department Every Time I Die has got the formula absolutely spot on with 'Gutter Phenomenon'. 'Apocalypse ... NoFX
Review of Heavy Petting Zoo - NoFx by joe-survey

Advantages: Great songs
Disadvantages: None

My brother and dad have been in to NOFX for far longer than me but i downloaded a few songs and loved what i heard. A few days ago i came across this album at a car boot sale for only 50p and it blew me away. The band NOFX are a punk rock band that formed in 1983. They have had many lineup changes but despite this they have racked up over 6 million independant album sales making them one of the most succesful independant bands. They have released ...
...them to be heard. They have a very strong view on the media and have made few music videos and have done very few interviews. They also refuse their music videos to be shown on MTV and other channels saying that they don't need any more exposure and that they were being exploited. The cover and booklet The first thing you will notice about the album is the title and front image. The album is called "Heavy petting zoo" and the front cover shows ... Read review
