All the Bon Jovi you could need!
Review of 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can't Be Wrong... (The Premiere Collection/+DVD) [Digipak] - Bon Jovi by haydox

Advantages: Bon Jovi OVERLOAD!
Disadvantages: Not all good tracks

I was prompted to write this review as I am listening to the album right now! (Someday I'll Be Saturday Night.....what a song!) All I can really say about this album is that it is great, I love nearly every track, there are very few I dislike and even then I will still listen to them because it is more work to change track and they aren't all that bad! This is a typical Bon Jovi album, some heavy rock, some softer rock and some in the middle. Also, ...
...and solos, some of the guitar solos being great! It is very hard to compare this to other Bon Jovi songs albums as there is so much music here on one album, that it includes all their other albums! The rather impressive track list reads as follows: CD 1 1. Why Aren't You Dead? 2. The Radio Saved My Life Tonight 3. Taking It Back 4. Someday I'll Be Saturday Night (Original) 5. Miss Fourth Of July 6. Open All Night 7. These Arms Are Open All Night ... Read review

Fat Desert Rock
Review of 117 - Izzy Stradlin by IVAN_LOGOFF

Advantages: a straight deep rocker
Disadvantages: not a revolution in rock (, but then again: Who cares?)

Ex-Guns'N'Roses rhythm guitar player Izzy has delivered a solid piece of dusty rock. A bastard of Traditional Hard Rock, American Folk, Punk & Surf, it covers a wide range of velocity as well as mood. Nevertheless it has all been molten down and cast in one piece of amalgam, without any major smudges in style. Oh yes, he's straddlin' - but very much at ease. If you like loud and simple guitar music than you are prone to like this. It's straight Rock, ...
...& "Good Enough" have enough pressure behind them to make you feel good. The album's cover tells you quite well what to expect: a desert, some cracks, a guitar, an amp, no shade but dire heat! Izzy is not the one to reinvent rock, but he definitely added some new flavour. On the bass you can hear his old mate Duff McKagan and in his version of Chuck Berry's "Memphis" Stradlin's Band Ju-Ju Hounds has a go as well. It's good clean fun. ... Read review

Review Of Buckcherry 15 - 'Everything' Needed
Review of 15 [PA] - Buckcherry by willsimmonds_123

Advantages: Great Lyrics, Amazing Band and Music Produced is fantastic, Best Album For Rock Lovers
Disadvantages: None

...SYNOPSIS Every track on 15 is a feat in its own way, with different rhythms, sounds and uniqueness. The opening song of 'so far' really tells you about the band as a whole and sets the tone for the beginning of the album with heavy guitar rhythms and beats. With the heavy but fresh singing and heavy undertone to the song really engages with the listener and is one of the best songs on the album. The next couple of songs have repetitive lyrics and ...
...singing, guitar and drum beats. Catchy tunes and addictive lyrics make 'next to you' and 'out of line' an enjoy to listen to. The next song, 'everything' is possibly my favourite song on the album, making 6th position in the US mainstream rock. The song tells a story about a woman the band met. The song starts with quite calm and downbeat music and lyrics, but as it develops the tempo rises and reaches a climax before falling back down to an almost ... Read review

Van Halen 1984
Review of 1984 - Van Halen by thumper85

Advantages: Classic halen with speed and ability
Disadvantages: Eating the cd causes pain

Following on from the previous halen albums you can expect lots of speed metal and unique singing, not to mention breakneck drum beats. This album was released at the peak of Van halens popularity and sold in excess of 10 million copies. This album is a must for any Halen - or classic rock / early metal listeners to be more precise. Easily up there as one of their best compositions and my halen collection started with this and remains my personal ...
...however classics like Panama, Jump, Hot for teacher and I'll wait more than make up for this. If you like spine chilling guitar, drum solo's and rock music then this album is a must. Tracks Track 1 - 1984 A short retro theme going on here to gradually ease you into the album. Track 2 - Jump One of the best know tracks of Van Halen, an absolute quality, retro style keyboarding to a melodic beat, Easy to listen too and catchy. Breaking in 2/3 of ... Read review

A Dark, Difficult and Wonderful Album
Review of Boys For Pele - Tori Amos by Jessicadon

Advantages: It's brilliant!
Disadvantages: Initially hard to get into it

This is my favourite Tori album - and probably my favourite album ever. Tori herself says it might take you a bottle of red wine to get into it - and she's probably right! It's hard to get into - it took me a few months but it's well worth the effort - because you will hear new things in it every time you listen to it. It's dense, multi-layered, complex, beautiful, dark, sensual, raw, haunting and - I hestitate to use the word, but I think it's justified ...
...Sneeze, with its haunting drum loop; the subtle piano-led Not The Red Baron, and the sweeping orchestration of Marianne are perennial favourites but I love them all, to be honest. Each song has been important to me at some point - and in that way, it's an album that just keeps on giving! I think Tori was at a low point in her life when she wrote this - after the end of a long term relationship - and I think this album is her gathering her forces ... Read review
