Tracks such as 'The Power Of Good-Bye' prove this, yet I do not find interest personally in listening to the entire album. Advantages: funky party album
Disadvantages: some people don't understand the joke

This is the first beck album that i bought and it made me want to go back and buy all his previous stuff. Yep it's that good. Beck appears to be able to go in any musical direction and this time he's aiming for some funk, with some R&B, rap and some good old rock along with some other stuff. This is a great party album and is great to dance to with friends or jump about in your bedroom to. The lyrics (as usual for beck) are nothing like the usual ...
...from this album are Nicotine & Gravy, Milk & Honey and Debra. I think that the concepts of these songs if completely misunderstood could make some people dislike the album. A lot of it is just making fun of people around beck (Hollywood Freaks is a good example) now that his life has changed since he first started out as a musician. ...of their finest albums - Driving to Damascus. Sporting their original line-up (therefore with ace drummer Mark Brzezicki) they have produced an album full of their trademark guitar riffs and bluesy ballads. Lead singer Stuart Adamson has again been the driving force behind the song writing, even collaborating on one song, Something Else, with Ray Davies of The Kinks. There is a limited edition in the shops with two extra tracks but minus a booklet ...
...had BBC airplay and made it into the charts. As anyone who has ever been to a BC concert will know that they are awesome live, so it is sad to hear that their last concert, in Glasgow's Barrowlands on May 31 (I was there and it was rocking!) will be their last. Please support the band by buying the album and lets persuade them out of retirement sooner rather than later. ... Read review

Advantages: There's a few gems on here if you look hard enough.
Disadvantages: Half the album isn't really very good.

At the time of release, Oasis were going through what could be described as an identity crisis. With two new band member and in the wake of the spectacular backlash to their previous album, "Be Here Now", this was going to be an album that was not so much eagerly anticipated, more awaited with a keen interest. What would they do? Carry on with the old formula of crowd pleasing, jump around Rock n Roll, or would they go in a completely different direction ...
...the time. What we got was something in between. "Fuckin in the Bushes" and "Go Let It Out" suggested a continuation of the "Old" Oasis. Then you're hit with "Who Feels Love" and you realise that Noel Gallagher has been listening to the critics - full of psychedelic effects this is Oasis gone experimental, and it just about works. Showbiz is Muse's first LP, and there are a few rough edges to their sound, but that's what makes it so refreshing - they haven't been polished and presented to the public as a packaged act. Songs like Sunburn, Muscle Museum (So called because muscle and museum are above and below "muse" in the dictionary) and Uno jump out at you as you listen to the album.
